Ashtanga Yoga Intensive includes: Mysore style classes, a led primary series with the traditional Sanskrit count, workshops almost every afternoon… and much more.
This workshop welcomes practitioners of all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners . Whether you are seeking to establish a strong foundation in Ashtanga Yoga or refine your existing practice, this workshop is a unique opportunity to learn directly from two highly experienced teachers.

Monday, December 2
David and Jelena will provide an overview of the Ashtanga Sadhana and provide in-depth teaching on how to optimize the vinyasa technique in practice.

Tuesday, December 3
The Sun Salutations contain Ashtanga’s prototypical vinyasa sequence and foundational postures. Working correctly in each of these vinyasas and postures is essential to the longevity of your practice.

Thursday, December 5
Ashtanga is full of forward folds and knee bends. Correct technique and alignment is important in order to avoid injuring the hamstrings, lower back, or knees.

Friday, December 6
This session offers detailed techniques, alignment and energetic principles that take us towards graceful, weightless transitions between postures in the practice.

Saturday, December 7
Explore the principles of alignment for Ashtanga’s Primary & Intermediate Series backbends. By learning correct technique for the poses, take the pain out of backbending and allow your body to safely go deeper into the postures.

Sunday, December 8
Arm balances show up throughout the Ashtanga sadhana. From the first jump back in the Sun Salutations, the opportunity to balance appears again and again. David and Jelena will teach you about 3 elements present in each arm balance that can help to make these postures more accessible.
